Drawing Out New Evaluation Methods: Utilizing Drawings as Evaluation Tools

May 10, 2023 | 1:00-2:30 ET / 10:00-11:30 PT

Drawing can be a fun and creative way to engage participants in programs. They can also be very powerful evaluation tools. Come along as we discuss the myriad of ways that drawings can be used as part of an evaluation plan. Drawings are great tools for children and adults. We will go over how to embed them in your work, how they can be used to study impacts, and how to develop rubrics to go with them. We will look at 3 levels of rubrics from simple content style rubrics to more complex theory-driven rubrics. Then we’ll spend a bit of time designing a drawing activity and discussing how you could implement in your program. Our goal will be for everyone to develop more knowledge in the use of drawings and skill in using them as an evaluation tool.
